We had an excellent turnout for our last meeting of 2025, which was our Christmas Social and Raffle.
It was a great evening for members to get together and chat about woodturning, family and friends over a cuppa and a mince pie.
The raffle did not disappoint with 7 tables packed with prizes. We would like to thank everyone who brought something to donate as a prize, it was very good of you, and much appreciated. By the end of the evening everyone had won at least one prize, and we can’t wait to see what gets turned out of the wood that was won.
We also had a couple of “bring and buy” tables with a selection of tools and equipment for sale. A few bargains were snapped up, and some of our newer members were able to start building their tool collection. Our “bring and buy” table will be set up at every Hands On night next year, so please feel free to bring along items that you no longer have use for and are looking to sell. For larger items of equipment, you can still offer these for sale through the club, just email the club email address with your details, pictures of the item, a brief description and of course the price you are looking for. We will happily circulate them to members and put them on the website in our classified section.
