Joining Burcot Woodturners

To become a member of Burcot Woodturners you need to join the AWGB (Association of Woodturners of Great Britain) via the club. Please follow the five simple steps below to complete your application.

Step 1:

Print off the AWGB application form found here and complete it with all of your details. Please ensure that you state “Burcot Woodturners Club” in the AWGB Branch Name Box.

NOTE: Please ignore the payment options on the application form, the club processes the payment on your behalf, see step 3.

Step 2:

Hand your application to either Club Secretary Richard Pinches, or Club Treasurer Jenny D’Addea at one of our monthly meetings for them to check it. Alternatively, you can also post your application to:

Step 3:

Make payment to the club for your chosen term of membership. £18 full year (single member) or £9 for 6 months after 1st July. Payment can be made by card or cash at the meeting, or you can request an online payment link or bank transfer by contacting hello@burcotwoodturners.org.uk.

Step 4:

Your AWGB membership documents should be available for you to collect at the next meeting along with your Burcot Members Handbook

Renewing your Membership

Your AWGB membership will run from the 1st of January to the 31st of December each year. For existing Club members, renewals subscriptions should be processed by the club who will send off payment and your details to the AWGB.

Renewal membership subscriptions can be paid from 1st November each year and should be made by the 31st of December at the latest.

The easiest method of paying your subscription is either by card or cash at the November or December meetings. If you are unable to attend one of the monthly meetings and wish to renew your membership you can request a payment link to be sent out to you so that you can pay by card using the link. The AWGB sends the club your renewal documentation, and this is usually handed out to you once the payment has been made.
