At our November meeting we proudly unveiled our new demonstration set up to club members.

Mike Delves opened the meeting and explained to everyone that it had been a longstanding wish of the committee to replace our old equipment, which was no longer fit for purpose.

Mike said that the club had received a donation from one of our longstanding members who truly valued the club and wanted to give something in return. The member wished to remain anonymous, but was happy that he was able to help. We had also received a grant from the AWGB to assist with the purchase.

Club members gave a round of applause to recognise the generosity of the member who had made the donation.

Club IT and Social Media Manager, Tim Walton, explained in more detail the equipment that we had been able to purchase. The screen is a much larger Multimedia Presentation Screen and it gives us more options that just a normal TV. As a result we will be using it at every club meeting, not just demonstration nights. We have also purchased a new switching unit which will mean that switching between camera’s would be instantaneous (doing away with the delays we had in the past). The purchase of a gantry now allows us to have the demonstrator on the stage, and we have added a new remote controlled camera to give additional views of the demonstration

Club President, John Smith, said that the new equipment would improve the experience on demonstration nights and thanked Tim and the committee for their hard work making this happen.
