On Sunday 15th of September Burcot Woodturners had their stand at the 76th Forest of Arden Ploughing and Hedging Match, which this year was held in Studley.
Our Outdoor Events co-ordinator Mike Crockett led the team comprising of Trevor Cocks, Bruce Turley, Roger Street, Paul Phillips and Alan Thompson, as they demonstrated to the public the heritage craft of woodturning.
The event was very well attended, with people coming from all over the UK, and there was a lot of interest in both the craft and our club. As you can see from the photographs, the guys spent a fair bit of time talking to members of the public about all things turning, and even managed to sell a few of the items that they had taken along.
This was our first year attending the event and given the reception we received I don’t think it will be the last.
Well done and thank you to Mike, Trev, Bruce, Roger, Paul and Alan for representing the club and making the day a success.
